Jobs Not Greed
My union Mass Teacher Association (MTA), along with a number of other unions and organizations, marched with about a thousand labor / union activists through downtown Boston on Oct. 1, 2009 -- the one year anniversary of the Wall Street economic meltdown. Demands: stop corporate greed, save our jobs. Recently laid off Verizon and Hyatt workers, and other unions sponsored by Mass AFL-CIO, Jobs With Justice, as well as unions such as IBEW and SEIU participated.
