Estimados Amigos del Proyecto MAQUIAPOLIS:

A new resource from the MAQUILAPOLIS project.

WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE A NEW COMMUNITY RESOURCE
AVAILABLE FROM THE MAQUILAPOLIS PROJECT

Over our 8 years of creating and exhibiting MAQUILAPOLIS, we have connected with many progressive organizations in the U.S. and Mexico. As our database of organizations grew, we realized that it could be a valuable resource for factory workers and their allies. Now, thanks to grants from the Sunflower Fund, the Creative Capital Foundation, the Threshold Foundation and others, we have shaped this information into a new community resource: a bilingual Directory of Support Organizations for Workers and their Communities.

You can download the Directory from our website at:
http://www.maquilapolis.com/resources_eng.html"

We offer this Directory in the hope that it will be of use to organizations wishing to network, citizens wishing to get involved, and workers looking for support and information. We invite you to use it and to share it with your colleagues. The Directory, like our film, takes a cross-border and cross-issue approach to exploring solutions, actions and change. The work of the 110 groups in the Directory ranges widely, from supporting the labor struggles of factory workers to promoting environmental justice, from protecting women's rights to advocating for global fair trade policies.

Some of you are new to our list, either because you recenty attended a screening and signed up, or because you've emailed us in the past asking about the film. As always, if you would like to be removed from our email list, let us know and we'll do so immediately.

Best regards,
Vicky Funari, Lupita CastaƱeda, Sergio De La Torre, and the rest of the MAQUILAPOLIS team
